GL · Restaurants & Bars

General Liability for Florida restaurants and bars.

Food service runs on foot traffic, hot kitchens, and full dining rooms — all of which create liability. We place GL tuned to hospitality and can quote eligible classes online.

FAQ

Restaurant insurance questions

What insurance does a Florida restaurant need?

Most restaurants carry General Liability at minimum, and leases usually require it. Once you have employees you'll also need workers' comp, and if you serve alcohol you'll want liquor liability. Many owners bundle GL and property into a BOP.

Do I need liquor liability insurance?

If your establishment serves alcohol, yes — General Liability alone typically excludes alcohol-related claims. We add liquor liability so an over-serving or related claim doesn't fall on you personally.

Can you name my landlord as additional insured?

Yes. Commercial leases almost always require the property owner to be listed as an additional insured. We issue that endorsement and the certificate your landlord needs.

How fast can I get covered before opening?

For eligible classes we can move quickly — often quoting and binding GL the same day so you can finalize your lease and open on schedule.
